I joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh as a Cypher Officer after studying Master of Arts (M.A) in English Literature at the National University, Dhaka. I served as Consular Officer in the Embassy of Bangladesh in Cairo, Egypt; later as a Special Assistant (Cypher) to Foreign Minister of Bangladesh during 2002-2004. I served as an Assistant Consular Officer in the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations in New York from 2004-2011.

I reported for a national daily newspaper of Bangladesh as a Special Correspondent, USA covering the US State Department and United Nations headquarters in New York during 2012-2018. I am a member of the United Nations' Correspondents' Association (UNCA), and the US State Department's media pool, and New York Press Club.

I studied Civil Engagement and Leadership Development at City University of New York's School of Labor and Urban Studies in 2019. Currently, I am studying for a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Politics, Economics and Law (PEL) at the State University of New York (SUNY)'s Old Westbury College, Hicksville, New York, and expecting to graduate in Spring 2022. I am also enrolled at the Public Leadership Credential offered by the John F Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.

I am committed to pursuing higher studies in Human Rights and Genocide Studies; and making a lasting impact on our democracy and human rights practices worldwide.
